Why Hire Me

Education

I dont do things half way and I'm not afraid of taking the path least traveled. In college I chose to take an education path planned to maximize my abilities as a software developer. I started with a diploma as a Computer Programming Specialist. My main focus was to learn programming fundamentals and aquire hands on experience working on high level development projects with multiple languages. There was a heavy focus on becoming a full stack developer and by the time I finished my diploma I could desig and develop everything from a fully functional relational database to a dynamic front end using a wide range of different programming languages. Next I aquired my associates degree in Computer Science. Here I focused on learning things like project management, Sytems architecture, and entry level administration skills. Finally I moved on to my bachelors where I recieved my major in Information Technology and my minor in Computer Science. For my minor I learned advanced concepts in web development, database development, systems development, and project management. For my minor I learned skills that have helped me become a better leader. I focussed on communication, IT infrastructure, IT resource management, team building, buisness management phsycology and how to use IT to improve a buisnesses processes.

Work History

I have attacked my career agressivley. Every step along my journey I have searched out and taken on the most difficult projects I could find. I started working in the tech sector 4 years ago. My first position was as a System Administrator Intern at the Academy of Scholars. Within months I worked my way up to Data Analyst and in a year I was filling the role of an interim IT Manager. I re-built their Google Administration Console. Redesigned their server room with color cordinated cables, proper network topology diagrams and labeled ports. Cataloged their entrire inventory. Purchased and integrated a basic CRM and asset tracking system to manage their chromebook fleet. Then Developed a ticketing system using an IIS server, python for the backend, MySQL for the database. For the front end I used javascript, HTML5 and CSS. After putting together a sound system to manage their IT infrastructure I helped hire and train their IT staff to manage and maintain their new system. I left the Academy of Scholars and accepted a wonderful opportunity as a lead at Frontline Inc. They hired me with the task of leading and assisting a team that was putting together a start up project PC as a Service. My part of the role in particular was to automate processes for our team. I built power shell scripts that would automate setting up a device for our customers. Next I worked on develiping a system that would track what our department did. I created a database in Snowflake that I later migrated to MySQL that maintained records for where all of our assets were and who had them. Next I added a CRM component that tracked the clients that had our devices, wanted our devices or were in the process of getting our devices. The customer could make appointments and request through Calendly and my webhooks would record the transaction and automatically update spreadsheets in Smartsheets so that both the clients and our workers could keep up with what was going on. I used Python for the backend and one of my associates set up the SmartSheets layouts for the front end. My next position was as a Software Developer at Lexicon Technologies. Here I have had the opportunity to create a custom built buisness management information system. Within a year they promoted me as their Lead Developer. Here I built a Web Application using the blazor Framework. The app manages all of their logistics in reference to delivering and collecting ordered product from the customers. A manager is able to control their entire fleet of drivers from a console. They can track what each driver is doing in real time, adjust their routes and enforce management decisions all through the Always Learning Logistics application. I developed a database through SQL Server that was designed in 5th normal form with security and relational integrity built into the design. I programmed triggers and procedures to automate many of the tasks required to maintain the system. Next I created a Restful API using C# with security built in to restrict access to the database and filter requests. Next I developed the app itself using a blazor framework. The blazor framework focuses on using C#, HTML5, CSS and javascript to create a dynamic front end with powerful abilities. I integrated the new system, trained the staff and connected it to the pre-existing system so that it could read, create and update orders all from the drivers application. From their I was tasked with recreating different portions of the companies systems using the same technologies.
